Upgrade components
Upgrade components are things that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide a bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used. They can be bought by players or vendors looted, or gotten as rewards, or made by crafting materials. Upgrade items can have cosmetic effects, in addition to giving bonus attributes.
Infusions, inscriptions, and enhancements are all types of upgrade component. They are not generally accessible to the general public and can only be used on equipment that is ascended or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions can be recovered and inscriptions from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging them using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Like other upgrade products, Phoenix Boxes can be traded while still attached to the item that they are upgrading, and are able to be used again after being salvaged. These upgrade items can be used to increase the quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium. They can double the likelihood that an item will receive a high-quality upgrade.
An upgrade component in an item may be replaced with another but it is not able to replace the original one (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment that has been ascended). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or more can have upgrade components added to them. Adding an upgrade to a weapon that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the upgraded item in the same way as it appears in game (for example, adding the Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only own three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great addition to any product. They offer unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, thereby increasing its overall strength. These glyphs are available through dungeons, and some can be found in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs are only available to characters who have created a root-dungeon of the same depth.
In order to use a Glyph it is necessary to build it from components and connect them with anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph with components, you can use an array of anchors and paths. Drag an element in the direction of the component that is highlighted to lock it in place.
Certain glyphs require certain conditions to meet, such as having 25 Dexterity or more in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may also be difficult to achieve. Some glyphs also have a radius that increases as you level it up.
Glyphs can be used on a variety of weapons and objects, except for those of a specific class. Some of these glyphs have additional requirements, like an amount of Dexterity damage or attack damage in a particular area of the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph adds the chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has an opportunity of 15% to render the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are a few glyphs that can be added to tools with limited-use capabilities like the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. Adding these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most popular glyphs used in the game are the attack glyphs, which increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. These glyphs are especially useful for classes that rely on weapons that are ranged, like Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who strike the Hero susceptible to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that are used to reroll one of the results rolled while taking an Action. item upgrading are destroyed when the reroll occurs. Reroll tokens are obtained in several ways, including through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the store, or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials since they allow players to play a reroll of rewards from the end chest.
For items at the level 1 there are recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a certain amount of points each time you recycle an item. This is based on the rarity of the item as well as its level. The upgraded item will also not retain its level if recycled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item rises when its level increases.
It is also possible to use reroll tokens in order to make an item rerollable. However it won't restore the item's original stats or levels. This is useful for those who wish to reroll an item they aren't happy with, but want to keep it in their collection.
Three different kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game - reroll, randomly generated, and upgrade. item upgrade comes with a couple of subtypes. For example, reroll tokens come in three different levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires an item of the appropriate level to create an item of the same quality.
To make use of rerolling tokens choose "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select the type of token you want to use. The available tokens include Item Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The use of an Item token will result in an entirely new Item of any type. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon of the same faction.
The item can also be upgraded to a different item that has the same stats but a higher level. This will occur when the item is in the Pool that is not droppable or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
